Postion Overview:

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Child Support Services is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our Review & Adjustment division in the role of Public Service Administrator. This includes directing and evaluating internal functional program reviews of operational areas of the review & adjustment functions of the agency's Title IV-D program.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, creative problem solver and strategic thinker to be successful in evaluating the operations of the Review & Adjustment Unit implementing objectives for improvement, while maintaining working relationships with other governmental professional organizations. The possession of these skills will ensure the candidate is successful in the role.

Essential Functions

* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

* Serves as working supervisor

* Plans, directs, and evaluates internal functional program reviews of operational areas of the review and adjustment function of the agency's Title IV-D program

* Directs and evaluates the development and updating of a complex, written manual pertaining to child support review and adjustment functions

* Conducts studies and drafts reports to assist policy writers in the Review and Adjustment Unit

* Assists the Section Manager with developing, conducting, and evaluating in-house training programs associated with review and adjustment functions

* Develops and conducts single-purpose research projects for management consideration of review and adjustment program expansion and accountability

* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

* Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college

* Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization

Preferred Qualifications

* Three (3) years of professional experience working with State and Federal policy as it relates to Child Support

* Three (3) years of professional experience in policy analysis, decision theory or equivalents

* Three (3) years of professional experience developing or implementing policies and procedures for a child support program

* Three (3) years of professional experience developing and implementing child support programs and operational policies, goals or objectives in accordance with state and federal regulations as it relates to Child Support

* Two (2) years researching and evaluating confidential child support records and resolving child support Issues while exercising discretion when responding both verbally and in writing

* Two (2) years of supervisory experience

* Two (2) years of experience utilizing computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

* Two (2) years of experience conducting professional team meetings

Specialized Skills

* Requires three (3) years of professional experience working with State and Federal policy as it relates to Child Support

* Requires three (3) years of professional experience in policy analysis, decision theory or equivalents

Conditions of Employment

* Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history

* Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties, with oversight stays as appropriate

* Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as laptop
