The Outside Sales Representativewill be responsible for generating new sales leads, building client portfolio pipelines, and supporting the overall sales functions. This role will be located in our Oklahoma City Corporate Office, reporting in-office Monday-Friday.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify new sales opportunities/leads: responsible for incoming sales calls/emails, may also seek new customers by researching mailing lists, industry directories/databases, trade shows or other events to identify opportunities to gain new clients.
  • Researches customers and accounts, creates sales pitches, and researches potential customers.
  • Partners with Marketing on producing sales-related collateral.
  • Generates sales and supports client relationships.
  • Works closely with Sales Team to understand their client needs and requirements to determine the best services and solutions.
  • Responsible for building a pipeline of business opportunities and developing new client relationships.
  • Supports the Sales Team by building positive working relationships with existing clients to manage ongoing business and generate repeat business.
  • Supports existing portfolio of projects by working closely with the client and Coates team members.
  • Collaborate with the corporate proposal team to produce strong, business winning responses to RFP's, ROI's, Invitations to Bid, etc.
  • Works closely with Coates project team members to ensure a successful project outcome; communicating client updates, proactively monitoring, and adjusting activities to meet client expectations.
  • Represent Coates within the industry by attending and participating in forums, workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3 + years of professional experience in a sales role, or related experience.
  • Experience in right of way land acquisition or energy sector a plus.
  • Frequent out-of-state travel required to client and project offices (up to 50% of the time).

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms or other sales and fulfillment software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, and ability to balance many projects at once.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
