Scrub Tech First Assist - Operating Room - Houston Healthcare : Job Details

Work Shift:Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, assists with the surgical process from optimal positioning of the patient through closure, wound dressing, and drainage. Performs a variety of other duties to assist a surgeon during surgery to include retracting tissues under direction and tying suturing materials in accordance with Houston Healthcare standards. Assists in patient care related activities including starting intravenous solutions, inserting tubes, etc. Provides nursing care and completes tasks delegated for all categories of patients served. Utilizes patient's individualized plan of care in providing care and collecting data relating to patients needs and response. Provides care in accordance with Houston Healthcare's Plan for the Provision of Nursing Care, standards of care and standards of performance. Provides immediate support to the surgeon and acts as a vital resource to the staff of the operating room. Assists in maintaining correct count of instruments, sutures, and sponges.
