Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncident Management, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Intake, to include incoming lawsuits, ranging from low to high complexity, of a high volume of incidents.
- Communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Obtaining and evaluation of proper documentation/supports
- Investigation and evaluation
- Assess what incidents need to be reported to the carrier
- Routine status updates
- Decisioning
- Negotiate settlements
- Sending releases
- Issuing Payments
- Resolution
Stay up to date with any changes to legislation and industry practices that might affect the organization's risk management strategies.Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to analyze and support broad corporate initiatives.Support the risk management program as required.Qualifications and Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Critical decision-making, efficient communication, and coordination, which includes internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and leverage internal resources to meet the needs of our customers.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- 5+ years customer service experience.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance or related field, experience with medium to large complex companies, to include but not limited to insurance coverages, renewals, premiums, etc.
- 3+ years of claims handling experience.
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
- Familiar with current insurance regulations and standard internal controls.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
