The Risk Program Manager will support the execution of the BSA/AML/Fraud (FRAML) strategic roadmap for a financial institution servicing the Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) industry. The PM will work cross-functionally to document requirements and expected outcomes from stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. They will foster a culture of collaboration and flexibility to support stakeholders within the organization, pivoting as needed to support changing initiatives or industry fluctuations that may impact prioritization.
Responsibilities:
AML/BSA/Fraud Operations Support
- Contribute knowledge regarding AML, BSA and/or Fraud Operations to support change management and project delivery efforts
- Support the Anti-Financial Crimes teams by analyzing system tools and conducting data analysis to assess impact on operations or project deliverables
- Work with internal stakeholders such as IT and Data teams to develop processes, procedures and system tools that help the team deliver prioritized items and solve operational challenges
Project-Specific Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the FRAML strategic roadmap:
- Develop project plans with multiple cross functional teams
- Track deliverables to ensure target dates are met
- Ensure dependencies are called out and addressed
- Confirm resources are secured and budgets are approved
- Schedule project meetings:
- Create agendas
- Track and prioritize tasks for teams
- Surface dependencies or blockers that may impact project deliverables
- Publish project status reports, including project status metrics and other performance indicators
- Assist in defining the project scope and creating the Business Requirements Document (BRD):
- Gather requirements, assumptions and dependencies from impacted stakeholders
- Track changes, updates and phases as requirements are finalized
- Secure sign off from leaders at each phase when required
- Support execution of UAT, QA and QC functions; provide status reports as needed
- Assist in developing training documentation and go-live transition documentation, as needed
- Partner with internal stakeholders to transition from the project phase to business as usual:
- Monitor production transaction activity to ensure requirements have been met
- Track fixes post-launch
- Secure authorization for the project team to roll off once stabilization has been achieved
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business Management or related field
- 3+ years demonstrated experience managing and executing small to large size projects in a project or operations management role with a focus in the financial services industry
- 3+ years' experience in BSA/AML or Fraud operations
- Extensive knowledge of financial products and services, including associated transaction types
- Experience in executing project deliverables and support, such as schedules, resource plans, BRDs, and maintaining project status reports for multiple levels of an organization
- Ability to do root cause analysis to assist in solving business and technology challenges
- Strong detail to attention detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting status updates to executive leadership and industry regulators
- CAMS, CFE, PMP or CAPM certification a plus
- Able to work in Central Time Zone
