Patient Experience: - Model Relationship Centered Care through various actions including Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, AM/PM Care, Purposeful Hourly Rounding, Medication Review, and Discharge Wrap-Up.- Consider patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge in all aspects of care.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.- Use evidence-based practices to enhance patients' perceptions of care.- Initiate service recovery for patients and families with concerns, escalating to appropriate nursing management as needed.- Demonstrate caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening. Quality and Safety: - Practice safe patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.- Demonstrate essential clinical skills and knowledge for quality and safety in the patient population served.- Implement process improvement strategies using institutional, evidence-based protocols.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on quality improvement projects and nursing research studies.- Contribute to quality and safety practices and compliance measures.- Utilize institutional information technology to document nursing practice for quality and performance improvement initiatives. Operations: - Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.- Coordinate with management to ensure supplies are appropriately utilized and inventory is sufficient.- Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to care regarding equipment, staff, and resources.- Accurately document in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.
