A New York City-based health services network is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to one of their facilities in Queens as their new Critical Care Nurse Educator. In this role, the Critical Care Nurse Educator will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that align with the hospital's mission, goals, values, priorities, and resources. About the Opportunity: Specialty: Critical Care (CCU/ICU); Professional Practice &Education Department Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM (Days) Responsibilities: The Critical Care Nurse Educator will: Plan and implement educational activities that are in line with the hospital's mission, goals, values, priorities, and resources Work collaboratively with other Nurse Educators in planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing orientation process Participate in formal orientation classes for all new employees in the Nursing Department Monitor staff competence through direct observation, interaction with Nurse Supervisor/Manager/Director, and dialogue with the staff Provide education to staff on the use of new equipment and maintain records of such training in their educational files. Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 5+ years of Nursing experience in a Critical Care (CCU/ICU) / Acute Care setting, including Teaching and Clinical experience Bachelor's Degree in Nursing NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS certifications Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Desired Skills: Master's Degree in Nursing and/or a related Education field 1+ year of Nursing Education / Training experience Nursing Specialty Certification in Nursing Professional Development or Specialty Certification from ANCC Your privacy is important to us.
