Position Summary:

The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) First Assistant is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative nursing care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient card to other members of the health care team. Registered Nurse will be required to take call on a rotational basis

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):

List any license, certification or education required for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)

* OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)

* American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR (BLS)

* Current/Active Florida Registered Nurse License (RN) OR Approved Multi-State License

* Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree

Licensure/Certification/Education (Preferred):

List any license, certification or education preferred for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)

* American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

* Education 4: Bachelor's Degree

Specialized Skills (Required):

List the minimum specific knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job (e.g., homecare exp., med/surg exp., basic accounting principles/practices, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)

* Basic Principles & Practices of Perioperative Nursing

* Basic RNFA Skills

* Radial Artery/Vein Harvesting Skills
