JOB DESCRIPTION:RN Med Treatment promotes the residents' health, wellness, and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. Works under the direction of the director of Nursing and handles a diverse range of tasks, including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting the clinical data of patients, among other duties.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients.
- Working closely with others in a fast-paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager
- Accountable for ensuring that competent care and safety are consistently delivered to all residents.
- This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with assisted living experience.
- Handles physician orders, administers medications, collects and maintains resident data, takes vitals, assists with resident comfort
- Assure proper procedures are followed at all times
- Communicate with residents and their families in an appropriate manner
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current and valid license as an RN in the state of New York required
- Degree from an accredited school or nursing/nursing program is required
- Current CPR certification required
- Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
