We use a gentle approach that includes engaging patients in self-care activities like guiding their hand so they can help with daily skin cleaning as well as appropriate levels of stimulation, including light and sound, tailored to their needs.Also witness patients regain movement and even start walking again with our assistive technologies and devices like the ReWalk™ , Ekso™ Exoskeleton, and the Litegait® system..What You Will DoThe Nurse Manager is responsible for the twenty-four (24) planning, provision, coordination, implementation and evaluation for the nursing care provided to a designated group of adult, elderly, and pediatric patients in a rehabilitation specialty area.Responsibilities
- Promotes and restores patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families.
- Serves as a resource, planner, clinical expert, manager and interdisciplinary coordinator.
- Areas of responsibility include staff recruitment, retention, staff remediation and corrective action, orientation, rehabilitation techniques, clinical nursing skills, nursing process, in-service and continuing education, staff competencies, information technology and systems, resource allocation/ utilization.
- In alignment with the organizational Mission & Core Values, the Program Nurse Manager is responsible for the development, implementation & evaluation of programs and systems, which facilitate and enhance age related and culturally sensitive nursing practice.
- The Program Nurse Manager requires the supervision of staff who provide care to patients who range in age from pediatric to geriatric.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (included but not limited to the Joint Commission, NYS DOH, CMS).
- Reports to the executive Director of Nursing.
What You Will Need
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure (The Program Nurse Manager requires graduation from a recognized program in professional nursing and a current New York State license).
- Baccalaureate degree preferred. (A baccalaureate in nursing or a related field or equivalent management experience)
- A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated current competency in clinical rehabilitation/ medical-surgical nursing (and 3 years of acute care nursing with documented leadership ability)
- Specialty nursing certification (CRRN or other) preferred or obtained within 2 years of hire.
- Previous experience in nurse management required

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
