TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 18-week assignment Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years of required experience License: Pending license accepted Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry-remote monitoring, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management - Proficiency in Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, PCA Job Description: - Work on a fast-paced medical-surgical unit with patient diagnoses such as ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, and general GU medical overflow - Manage high turn-over surgery patients - Centralized telemetry preferred; some basic knowledge required - Administer various drips including Heparin, Lidocaine (pain only), Bicarbonate, Bivalirudin, and Amiodarone (Stable Non-Titrated) - Operate and manage PCAs, Epidurals, and CBIs with different irrigation solutions - Engage in special procedures such as foleys and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI); adhere to protocols for colorectal patients - Guaranteed every other weekend working requirement with mandatory orientation hours - Participate in a magnet and teaching hospital environment with a Level I Trauma Center - Use Epic charting system throughout the work process - Wear professional navy scrubs during shifts - Comply with mandatory flu vaccination requirements, with possible exemptions for medical or religious reasons - Float within service line as required to meet facility needs Please note: Local candidates within a specific radius, first-time RNs, or those seeking block schedules are not considered for this role.
