Job Description Job Description To serve as the primary point of contact for patients in our Plastic Surgery department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their care journey. This role combines patient navigation with cosmetic coordination, offering guidance, education and support related to both surgical and non-surgical treatments. The ideal candidate will promote the practices' cosmetic and non-cosmetic services, fostering patient engagement and satisfaction while supporting the growth of the practice.
Essential Job functions:
- Navigate care for patients and acts as a liaison between patients and medical staff, facilitating clear and timely communication.
- Serve as a dedicated resource for patients, providing personalized guidance throughout their care journey, from initial consultation to post-procedure follow-up.
- Support patients by explaining medical information, addressing concerns, and advocating for their needs throughout the healthcare process.
- Educate patients on surgical and non-surgical options, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and accuracy.
- Coordinate appointments and pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patients understand preparation and recovery processes.
- Monitor and follow up with patients to ensure compliance with care plans and optimal outcomes.
- Assist in managing patient expectations by providing realistic timelines, outcomes, and potential costs.
- Consult with patients to understand their skin and cosmetic concerns to develop customized treatment plans.
- Obtain extensive knowledge of skincare products and their application techniques.
- Promote the practice's aesthetic services, including injectables, skincare treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Support the sale of in-office cosmetic products.
- Educate patients on available treatments, benefits, and post-treatment care.
- Coordinate and schedule aesthetic appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider time and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain awareness of seasonal promotions, treatment packages, and loyalty programs, and proactively share these with patients.
- Manage patient inquiries related to aesthetic services, offering brochures, samples, or referrals to clinical staff when necessary.
- Collect deposits and payments for all non-covered services, including the use of Care Credit.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cosmetic and aesthetic treatments.
- Track and manage patient leads, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion into scheduled appointments.
- Maintain and organize marketing materials, photos, patient brochures, and educational tools.
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming, clean, and reflective of the high-quality care provided.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in handling patient information, adhering to HIPAA and practice policies.
- Exhibit professionalism and discretion in all patient interactions and communications.
- Collaborate with surgeons, aesthetic providers, and office staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
- Participate in team meetings to provide feedback on patient experiences and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the practice's marketing efforts by sharing patient success stories (with consent) and promoting new services.
Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: - Current NY State RN Licensure required
- BLS Certification Required
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing required
- 3-5 years of nursing experience required, preferably in Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery or Aesthetics.
- Certification or training in aesthetics is a plus.
- Leadership/management experience is a plus
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Experience with insurance processes including prior authorization and benefits coverage is preferred but not required.
- Experience in Electronic Health Record navigation, Microsoft 360 and Excel is preferred but not required
Travel: • Travel to satellite locations as needed, required Pay Range $100,000/yr to $130,000/yr The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position
