Job Summary and Qualifications

As an RN Coordinator Quality you will be responsible for the management of performance improvement, educational development and policy oversight of sepsis and stroke performance measure. You will have a quality impact on our patients' lives and the opportunity to truly make a difference. Your clinical background will be put to important use as you join us in our efforts to better our community! In this role you will:

  • Evaluate care for sepsis and stroke patients throughout the continuum of care. Work with department leadership to ensure comprehensive medical record documentation to reflect clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnoses for applicable patients.
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for process and performance improvement activities of the sepsis and stroke programs as well as any subsequent clinical quality programs.
  • Act as an expert and resource to professional staff providing education to physicians, nursing, allied health personal and EMS as needed.
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of staff education for topics of various programs for the organization. Work with Education department to develop and/or select education materials utilized for patient education.
  • Provide formal reports to hospital-wide committees and boards to include policy and procedure development. Develop presentations for reporting quality data.
  • Work with medical staff to assure appropriate diagnostic tests and medications are being utilized (not responsible for direct patient management).
  • Ensure that patient educational materials are reviewed for health literacy and cultural competence.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho or Compact State
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years in nursing practice with 2 years in Medical, surgical, neuro or emergency medicine preferred
  • Experience in data collection and statistical analysis preferred
  • Experience in teaching and/or clinical program development desired
