The Flower Hospital campus is a 311-bed facility that houses the Hickman Cancer Center, ER Trauma Center, and is the regional leader for inpatient adult psychiatric services.Position Summary:The RN, Patient Care Supervisor coordinates high quality patient care on assigned unit/service. They provide staff support through facilitation, coaching, and role-modeling leadership behaviors, which enhance quality patient care, safety for staff/patients, excellent customer service, and fosters employee development. Other duties may include, but are not limited to:Manages shift operations related to patient flow, staff assignments, bed control, and rounding with care team members to facilitate meeting patient care needsLeads the team in meeting service needs of patients and their families to provided positive patient experienceServes as a clinical expert for technical and professional standards of care to ensure high quality of careProvides preceptorship, coaching, and/or identifies learning needs with action plans for employees to foster a positive team environment and competent professionalsMaintains current knowledge of regulatory compliance and teaches the employees to achieve compliance as a measure of high-quality patient care, including continuous process improvement methodologiesBachelors Degree required or must be able to obtain within 3-year timeframe. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Must be an RN with a current licensure in the State of OhioBLS, ACLS requiredMust have a minimum of 2 years in nursing in a patient care areaProblem solving, organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to function independently and as an integral member of various teams.
