If you are looking for dynamic learning opportunities with complex medical treatments and continual advancements, then we invite you to join our team.Our Cardiovascular Ambulatory Unit (CVAU) is part of our Cardiovascular Institute. This state of the art center is designed to provide a comprehensive care approach to patients requiring cardiovascular services, all in one central location. The CVAU has 40 bays to serve patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures performed in the Cardio Lab, EP lab, IR or our hybrid suite for structural heart procedures including PFO/ASD closures, myocardial ablations and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventions including carotid stenting. In addition, we care for patients undergoing surgical procedures including pacemaker insertions, ICD insertions, generator changes, transcatheter aortic valve replacement and mitral clips. What You Will Do
  • Responsible for collaboration, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care with assistance of computerized &/or digital platform that supports the daily management of care.
  • Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring & evaluation of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills & the principles of case management & adult education to coordinate, implement & support the plan of care.
  • Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.
  • Monitor quality metrics specific to the department & ensure complete & accurate documentation in the patient record.
  • Act as 1) mentor; 2) clinician; 3) educator; 4) consultant/collaborator; and 5) navigator.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with eligibility for licensure, in the State of New York.
  • Maintains current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification.
  • Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Physical Demands
  • Medium work: must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently; occasionally lifting maximum of 50 pounds. Will require ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach.

GN Pay Range: $32.00 - $38.60Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
