Competently functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Practice is characterized by predominantly interdependent decision-making. Practice is problem focused, but patient centered in the manner care is provided. Able to manage unexpected or emergency situations that are commonly seen in assigned specialty population.* Assisting two oncologists and two nurse practitioners in the evaluation of the oncology and hematology patient by triage in the office setting.* Performs technical procedures/skills in the specialty area of oncology which includes the administration of medications and treatments specific to cancer care primarily* Flexibility and willingness to cover in the radiation oncology clinic as needed.Qualifications:RN with 2 years of clinical experience in area of Oncology.One year RN experience in clinic setting preferred.Experience in Radiation Oncology a plus.Must possess and maintain a current RN license to practice in Texas.Must possess and maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider.ACLS preferred upon hire or attain within one year of hire.OCN is preferred upon hire or attain within one year of eligibility.Chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Society is preferred upon hire.
