Key Responsibilities: Design and lead comprehensive training programs and in-service sessions for nursing staff. Oversee orientation programs and ensure staff is up-to-date with best practices and protocols. Collaborate with nursing coordinators to provide support across all shifts. Manage all aspects of infection prevention, including surveillance, reporting, and staff education. Ensure compliance with infection control regulations and implement corrective measures as needed. Lead infection control meetings and present data to facility leadership. Support the facility's Quality Assurance (QA) program, ensuring high nursing standards and preparedness for regulatory surveys. Conduct audits on resident care outcomes, document findings, and implement improvement plans. Investigate incidents, report findings, and collaborate on corrective actions. Work closely with the Medical Department to develop and maintain effective emergency response protocols. Regularly evaluate emergency equipment and ensure staff readiness in emergency situations. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license. Valid Infection Control Certificate. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
