Your Role as RN Unit Manager

As an RN Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring quality care and operational excellence on your unit. You will:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain nursing objectives and standards of care.
  • Act as a clinical and managerial resource, fostering positive changes and improvements in care delivery.
  • Conduct daily rounds, addressing resident care needs and clinical responsibilities when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate, high-quality documentation and monitor compliance with nursing policies and procedures.
  • Participate in resident care conferences and maintain open communication with residents, families, staff, and physicians.
What You ll Bring
  • Licensure: Current RN license in Iowa.
  • Certification: CPR certification required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
    • At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in geriatric nursing.
