Job Description:

This position offers a unique opportunity to provide compassionate and high-quality care to women and children. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and delivering safe and effective nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to women and children across various settings, including postpartum, pediatrics, and possibly other related areas.
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify any changes in patient status.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and accuracy.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma; AD)
• Registered Nurse licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification required (should not initiate patient contact until completed).
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prior experience in a women's and children's setting is preferred, but not required.
