Job Description :
Overall Responsibility:The Roadway Division Manager is responsible for ensuring that ALL Southeastern Engineering, Inc. roadway designed projects as a Prime Consultant or as a Subconsultant role are designed within the allotted design budget established for the project and a high-level quality of plans are delivered to the client on time. In addition to the roadway design tasks, the Division Manager will also assist with proposal technical writing, participate in shortlist presentations, conduct GDOT Plan Reviews for the Office of Engineering Services.Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Demonstrates desire and behavior that projects harmony with clients, peers, vendors & management.
  • Skilled in managing complex roadway & intersection improvement plans.
  • Basic knowledge of roadway drainage as it relates to roadway design.
  • Is the role of Roadway Key Team Leader on all GDOT State & Federally Funded Projects Proposals.
  • For GDOT Projects is responsible for Concept Reports, Design Variance/Design Exceptions, Location & Design Reports, Detailed Utility Cost Estimates, etc.
  • A firm understanding of InRoads/OpenRoads and MicroStation.
  • Works closely with Production Manager on the needs and feedback from the Production Staff.
  • Works closely with the Production Manager to ensure adequate training for younger engineers is happening on a routine basis.
  • Ensure that the Production Manager consistently administers and coordinates with Southeastern Engineering, Inc. policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for written Quality Assurance/Quality Control program is established for all transportation design projects.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of all roadway design work at Southeastern Engineering, Inc.
  • Consistently review and manage project's staff coded time to project on a weekly basis.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and apply new design procedures/ordinances.
  • Ability to anticipate project's needs in terms of scope, client expectation and Southeastern Engineering, Inc. resources.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups including clients, customers, employees and vendors.
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills.Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications:
    • Professional Engineer, Level II Erosion Certification and GDOT PDP.
    • Must possess current, valid driver's license and Social Security Card or other documentation for E-Verify. EOE. #J-18808-Ljbffr
