DetailsPosition Summary: This position will support and contribute to the company goals of 10-20-4 and zero injuries. Under minimal supervision performs daily maintenance and programming support to all robotic systems. Seeks to identify process and performance improvement opportunities of robotic systems. Looks for opportunities to introduce new robot systems that will reduce cost and/or improve quality. Assist in the development of tooling and programs. Core Competencies for this position include:

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Adheres to established Safety initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Ability to research and recommend various types of equipment for purchase in manufacturing.
  • Ability to perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
  • Basic troubleshooting of robotic systems
  • Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.
  • Maintain operational records or records systems.
  • Ability to learn programming of robotic systems.
  • Prepare procedural documents.
  • Ability to learn to assemble equipment or components.
  • May assist engineers in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems.
  • Ability to develop tooling and fixtures for robotic systems
  • Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate at various levels within the organization.
  • Good computer skills that may apply to robotic welding and automation.
  • Computer software, data entry, data retrieval and data analysis skills required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Problem solving and advanced troubleshooting skills required.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays as required.
Education and Experience:
  • Associates degree in related field.
  • Up to 1 year of experience operating and programming welding robotic systems.
  • Successfully learns the requirements of Robotic Technician.
