Who we areFerroglobe is one of the world's leading suppliers of silicon metal, silicon-based and manganese-based specialty alloys, and ferroalloys, serving a customer base across the globe in dynamic and fast-growing end markets, such as solar, automotive, consumer products, construction and energy.Learn more about our Transformation Story here: Who we areWhat you will do* Operate CAT 777 rock trucks (articulating dump trucks)* May assist with training and mentoring of other equipment operators* Responsible for knowing the following procedures: start-up and shut-down, parking, mounting, and dismounting, emergency, fire, and working with ground personnel* Performs pre-shift inspection of equipment* Communicates using two-way radio* May perform minor maintenance activities* Performs other duties as required* May be required to lift up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the work day* May be required to work a non-standard schedule which may include shift work (other than day shift) in a 24/7/365 operation* Willingness and ability to pass pre-employment, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol screeningWhat we seek* 1+ years of machine experience in mining, quarry, construction, and/or earthmoving operations* Must have current MSHA 5000-23 certification* Perform physical functions per job requirements* Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English* Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards* Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentCriteria/Working Conditions* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see* Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the workday* Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor or surface mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required* Ferroglobe promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State LawsWhat we offer* Highly competitive benefits programs* Weekly Production Bonus eligible* Paid Time Off* 401k retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributionsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
