Job title: Room CleanerReports to: Director of HousekeepingPay rate: $16.28 to $16.75 + IncentivesPosition type: Variable hours - health benefits after 1 year and 1456 hours worked.Campbell's Resort offers its employees a comprehensive benefits package including Aetna Medical, Delta Dental, VSP Vision, USAble Life & Disability, a match 401(K) program as well as vacation time and the accrual of sick leave hours.Job Description Summary:Room Cleaners clock in five minutes before their shift starts.When your shift starts you must have all supplies ready. Room Cleaners focus on making sure carts/closets are restocked before beginning on their assigned floor(s). If no rooms are available to be cleaned, room cleaners help clean public areas. Room Cleaners are required to report any damage/suspicious activity they see. On occasion, you will be asked to work in teams where another room cleaner will overlook your work.Summary of Housekeeping:Provide the best in-room experience through our high-level cleaning team service to make all guests feel like part of our Campbell's Family.The Housekeeping Department offers exceptional cleaning services in the rooms, conference rooms, restaurant, and public areas. Making sure that those areas are clean and comfortable to receive guests.Minimum requirements:
  • Ability to make decisions and be adaptable to work as a team.
  • Verbal communication skills with Guest and other personnel.
  • Ability to safely operate machinery (vacuum cleaner).
  • Power and understand service manuals.
  • Be able to carefully load 50 lbs.
  • Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 10 pounds without help.
  • Skills of climbing stairs with loads lifting objects above your head, stooping, kneeling, and stretching carefully.
  • Ability to provide fast service and the ability to maintain your stress.
  • Motivation to serve the public. You can find jobs to do without being constantly supervised.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a positive and optimistic personality throughout the shift with a passion for excellent customer service.
  • Always have respect for the staff.
  • Flexible and willing to learn and do new jobs.
  • Good hygiene and personal hygiene.
  • No allergies to cleaning chemicals.
  • Do not be allergic to animal hair, for example: Dog or Cat.
  • Possess the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • Complete the room in detail.
  • Skills to fill documentations in English.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory background check of the company.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
Physical requirements:
  • Walk for long periods of 8 hrs. up to 10 hours.
  • Constantly push, pull, bend, reach, lift, bend, and kneel.
  • Able to safely lift 60 lbs.
  • Climbing stairs constantly.
Essential Functions:
  • Get to work in a clean uniform and ready to work.
  • Shoes must be provided by employee; they must be non-slip shoes.
  • Name tag will be provided.
  • Clock in & fix your work tools to get ready.
  • Clean rooms and other assigned areas. Keep all your work areas clean.
  • Be familiar and follow the procedure in the list of work levels and the housekeeping manual.
  • Be trained for laundry and other areas.
  • Create an atmosphere that makes Campbell a pleasant place to work.
  • Be a team player, showing enthusiasm while helping others.
  • Cleaning in the rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in all rooms, cleaning mirrors, bathrooms, walls, tub, cabinet doors, dishes, stoves, ovens, and terraces. Change sheets, towels, clean windows inside and outside, take out the trash, recycle, restocking what is necessary (check your list of activities).
  • Organize closets and refill the maid carts.
  • One of our tools is PurpleCloud.
  • If the hotel is completely occupied and you stay overnight, you must make a minimum of 10 overnight stays.
  • If the hotel occupancy is half stays and half departures. They will be required to make a minimum of 6 payments.
  • Have dirty rooms that will require changing the bed if the guest vomits or has an accident.
  • Refill the bottles with liquids, and at the end of the day arrange them in their respective places.
  • Have daily responsibility for your assigned area, including cleaning rooms.
  • Answer guest questions. Have knowledge about property services and opportunities at Lake Chelan.
  • Be attentive to the needs of your costumers and do whatever possible to meet those needs.
  • Act as a team member, show motivation, and help other employees to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Be a good example for other employees.
  • In the course of your employment, you may be exposed to confidential information related to guests; such information should not be disclosed or discussed with anyone other than your director or Human Resources.
  • At the end of your shift, follow the work standards procedure.
  • Suggest to the manager who is concerned with improving other duties that may be required.
  • This applies to both; Campbell's Resort and The Midtowner Motel.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a variable-hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends, nights, and holidays are also necessary.
