ROR Staff Engineer - Kollective Group : Job Details

Our client, a leader of white-label HR solutions, is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails expertise (or a solid foundation in Ruby). In this position, you will oversee both backend and frontend development teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality delivery across all projects. Additionally, you will play a key role in designing and managing data architecture, particularly with Postgres, to support scalable growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the engineering team, promoting best practices and efficient workflows
• Design and implement robust solutions using Ruby on Rails or Ruby-based frameworks
• Develop, plan, and maintain data systems with a focus on Postgres as the backbone
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deliver top-notch products
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring new engineers to grow a dynamic team

Required Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in a Staff Engineering or similar leadership role
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails or Ruby-based applications
• Strong knowledge of data architecture with Postgres and DynamoDB
• Experience with React and React Native for full-stack development
• Proficiency in cloud-based deployments, particularly on ECS, and adherence to best coding practices
