MaxPak, a TRG company and affiliate of Schwarz Partners, has an exciting opportunity available for a Rotary Die Cut Operator inLakeland, FL on 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)! The Rotary Die Cut Operator is responsible for all activities associated with the operation, set-up, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and recommending improvements to the processes, procedures, and/or operation. Our mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Follow & Adhere to all Safety Rules & Policies
  • Understand machine set-up techniques for the Die Cutter - (i.e.: print plates and die boards)
  • Inspect all dies before and after each run to ensure that any and ALL repairs are made BEFORE the next run
  • Monitor and adhere to specifications for each customer order and ensure print quality is in accordance with all required specifications
  • Maximize the utilization of the equipment by operating the machinery at peak capacity and speed
  • Crosstrain on other machines when possible and necessary
  • Completion of required reports in an accurate and timely manner including: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data, and any other reporting requested by your Supervisor
  • Completing Maintenance Work Orders for necessary repairs.
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Installation of Die Boards and Print Plates
  • Training for new hires to the machine center
  • Ensuring the crew is working safely and report any safety issues to your Supervisor
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
PREFERRED EXPEREINCE:
  • Experience in the corrugated box industry.
  • 1 year experience as a Press Department First Helper
  • 1 year experience in the Press & Finishing Department
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate.
  • Ability to apply concepts of High School Math
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and not so practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
