Are you with us?!?The Rotational Engineer manages operational, environmental, quality, production reliability, cost-efficiency projects, and safety goals, in a manner that meets or exceeds performance and budget expectations. The Process Engineer will focus on production optimization projects, quality data analysis to improve customer-first-time-right successes, and function as a key support in driving and embracing a culture of Continuous Improvement.Requirements
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Paper Science, or Chemical) field or comparable level of experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Solid project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage employee relations with positive outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for learning new software systems
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays (this may be a requirement in the future)
Responsibilities
  • Must follow Ahlstrom-Munksjö's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
  • Administer consistent application of all company policies.
  • Ensure on-shift performance meets work standards.
  • Lead and assist and follow through on Safety Action Items, performing risk recognition and conditions based on safety audit results, to reduce incidents.
  • Assess processes for effectiveness and implement improvements.
  • Manage assigned projects to successful completion, balancing project workload among all available resources.
  • Innovate lower total cost of ownership solutions to raw material selections, energy use optimization & maintenance spend reductions by selecting most efficient solutions to repeat maintenance cycles.
  • Assess process effectiveness, identify potential process improvements and help implement solutions.
  • Provide vacation relief for Paper Machine Area Manager and Shift Supervisors.
  • Assist in the on-going Continuous Improvement (CI) engagement process.
