Pay rate: $22.00/hourGA Foods is hiring Route Delivery Driver to make meal deliveries for our company. The ideal Route Delivery Driver candidate will have an extensive background in delivery driving, proven safe driving practices and must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening. The Route Delivery Driver will ensure the timely, safe and accurate delivery of meals to customer homes and senior centers, according to route(s) assigned. Will be expected to maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements. Embrace the company's values, vision and mission as One Team.Essential Route Delivery Driver DutiesIncluding but not limited to:* Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes in a timely and accurate manner* Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness* Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly* Maintain driver scorecard* Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order* Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required* Maintain communications with Customer Service* Recordkeeping as required* Participate in all required company training* Regular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduled* May drive up to 16' Box truck or smaller commercial vehicle* Lift, carry, and deliver coolers weighing up to 40 lbs depending on route* If delivery to customer homes, would lift and carry generally 1-2 boxes weighing up to 15 pounds each* May have access to confidential information as necessary to perform job functions, and as such, is required to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information* Load and unload vehicles using electric pallet jack and manually into freezers and warehouses* Other duties as assigned by managementEssential Job Requirements* Must be able to pass comprehensive background screening.* Must be able to obtain a DOT Certification.* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.Degree, Certifications* Valid Driver's License* No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts* Forklift CertificationPreferred Route Delivery Driver Skills & Experience* Prior three (3) years route delivery experience preferred* Good Communication and Customer Service Skills* Familiar with GPS and Tablet Technologies* General Office Equipment* Able to meet employer's attendance standard* Able to follow work rules and policies and procedures* Current ServSafe Food Safety CertificationDiversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to GA Foods.
