Role Overview:

Performs Pick-up and Delivery to clients' homes and offices, typically twice weekly. Promotes business and services for the company. Works independently to acquire, retain, and ascend clients. Delivers and picks up Inter-Company paperwork, clothing, and other items. Performs miscellaneous errands. Assists in communication between retail and production sides of the business. Helps at the Production Workshop during idle times between store runs.

Your Team:

Reports directly to the Route Supervisor

Key Responsibilities (roles):

  • Picks up and delivers items to route clients and retail store locations.
  • Courteous and defensive driving, always adhering to local, state, and federal driving laws.
  • Leaves finished items in a safe location, protected from inclement weather.
  • Loads all items in the company work vehicle, careful not to wrinkle or drag clothing.
  • Checks with the Production Team Leader before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups, deliveries, or changes to the route.
  • Verifies that all invoices for each pick-up and delivery are accounted for.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups on the manifest, ensuring that all bags are labeled with client or store information.
  • Turns in all paperwork at the end of the daily route.
  • Advises the Production Team Leader if delivery trucks need repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintains all necessary supplies on the truck.
  • Performs routine maintenance checks inside and out, keeping the vehicle clean and washed.
  • Keeps the truck fueled up using the company fleet gas card.
  • Maintains and protects all company equipment and customer data, including phones, manifests, etc.
  • Immediately informs the Production Team Leader of any damage to the vehicle or involvement in an accident.
  • Maintains a professional appearance in the company uniform.
  • Always uses professional language and communication, avoiding gossip and maintaining positive communication with team members.
  • Keeps client and store lists and information confidential as it is the property of the company.
  • Promotes business through networking and business card placement at businesses throughout the city.
  • Handles rolling rack distribution and looks for upsell opportunities.
  • Engages in tasks such as scanning, racking, and posting.
  • Reports or escalates customer issues to the Manager.
  • Picks up and secures bank bags when transporting them to the Production Workshop and handles safe deposit transporting.
  • Reprioritizes tasks or activities due to changing circumstances or requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Key Competencies:

  • Good communicator across all lines of business communication.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Driving experience six months to a year is preferred.
  • Active driver's license with 3 or less moving violations over the past 36 months. Must be pre-approved to drive from our insurance company.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Well dressed, groomed, and excellent personal hygiene.
    • Regular lifting of 20 pounds.
    • Occasional lifting of 50 pounds or more.
    • Exposure to the elements, including driving hazards.

    Conditions:

    • On the road driving in the company work vehicle most of the day.
    • Loading up and dropping off at the production workshop which can be a hot environment.
    • Fast paced environment.
    • Must be able to work under pressure.
    • Must always default to being a defensive and courteous driver.
    • Assisting with other jobs at the Production Workshop.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Revenue per client served.
    • Weekly route sales.
    • Order(s) delivered to the wrong store.
    • On time deliveries.

    Professional/Educational Background:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Driving experience six months to a year is preferred.

    Training Schedule:

    • Driver Training Program - 5 days
    • Ongoing safe driving training
