Position: Route Truck DriverGENERAL SUMMARYReplenish installer storage units and fulfil local delivery orders while overseeing truck maintenance and following DOT regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load orders onto thetruck according to destination for ease of delivery
- Properly stack and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment
- Deliver merchandise to each installer, placing items in a neat and safe manner.
- Perform occasional verbal stock audits on each installer location liaising with head office as to each serial number physically in the warehouse to the detailed inventory reports
- If approved, remove all broken down cardboard and trash from installer storage units
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
- Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
- Maintain records such as electronic & written vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations
- Assist warehouse associates with pulling orders and any other miscellaneous warehouse functions
- Use the ADP system to review punches & submit PTO requests
- Provide other duties as needed.
