Position Overview: We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join our network of healthcare professionals. As a Respiratory Therapist contracted through Alto Health Care Staffing you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and more. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose your assignments based on your availability and preferences. Responsibilities: Perform assessments of patients with respiratory disorders and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed. Monitor patients' respiratory status, including oxygen saturation, blood gases, and lung function, and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques to promote adherence and wellness. Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and airway management devices. Document all assessments, treatments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Current and valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license or certification in the state(s) of practice. Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a relevant healthcare setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) may be required based on assignment requirements. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
