Title: RTW Product Development/Design Associate

Location: New York City, NY

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented RTW Product Development/Design Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion product development, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing fabrics and trims, maintaining organized records.
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical packs.
  • Coordinate and conduct fittings, providing detailed feedback to improve garment fit and appearance.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage communications with domestic and overseas suppliers.
  • Track the status of sample development to ensure timely completion. Create and maintain this calendar.
  • Support the shipping process and manage logistics as needed.
  • Assist in the design and execution of brand events and other tasks to support our startup operations.
  • Help with shipping, inventory, and event planning when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the luxury fashion sector.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and textile properties.
  • Technical design skills.
  • Proficiency in fashion industry software for creating tech packs and BOMs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Experience in coordinating with overseas and domestic manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Ability to work flexibly and contribute to a variety of tasks in a startup environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Photoshop
