S02001 - Accountant - Mauser Packaging Solutions : Job Details

Position Summary:

The accountant is responsible for handling the accounts payable, receivable, payroll, cash, fixed assets and inventory control accounting including the closing subsidiaries work to comply with the company financial policies and procedures. This position reports to the Administrative Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Keep all the accounts payable records updated and manage on time payments to suppliers.
• Keep the accounts receivable subsidiary updated and assure accuracy of the billing process.
• Update payrolls register and reconcile with the payroll tax returns.
• Prepare cash journal entries.
• Reviews and approves employees timecards, as well as ensures these are paid correctly.
• Prepare payroll and fixed assets reconciliation.
• Maintain Capex expenditure reports and files.
• Ensure accuracy of receiving reports and bill of ladings input in SAP.
• Assist with monthly closing requests.
• Publish daily cash balance report.
• Maintain asset ledger and company asset tags.
• Participate in physical inventory process and investigate all significant variations in coordination with the management team.
• Back up Administrative Manager in entering production data to SAP as per approved procedure.
• Follow Safety procedures and maintain proper PPE as required.
• Follow Environmental, Safety, and Food policies as required.
• Ensure compliance with required regulatory standards (such as SQF, BRC, FSSC, customer-specific regulatory requirements, etc.).
• Other accounting functions as determined appropriate by the Administrative Manager.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Accounting Degree in Business. At least 3 years experience in General Accounting.
