Position Summary Mesabi Metallics is looking for a Safety Admin who will work with the safety team to help ensure the safety management system is implemented. Additionally, proper documentation and monitoring of safety data is maintained. They will work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure compliance standards are always met. Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Safety Admin will be responsible for the following:

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and policies.
• Maintain and update safety documentation and records.
• Occasionally assist with safety inspections and hazard assessments of facilities and equipment with the safety team members.
• Conduct safety training sessions for staff as required.
• Assist with incident investigations and assist with report documentation.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve safety conditions.
• Maintain PPE inventories and other key safety equipment needs.
• Work closely with all levels of the organization, in the mine and processing plant, to assist with continuously improving safe job procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a safety-related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in both mining and plant environments, including exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
• Capability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, inspecting equipment, and navigating uneven terrain.

Salary

• $28.50 - $34.00 an hour.
