Safety Coordinator - Comfort Systems USA Shoffner Kalthoff MES : Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated Safety Coordinator to join our team in Knoxville, TN. The ideal candidate is a dependable, organized, productive team player with the ability to work well with others. The candidate must also possess oral and written communication skills and knowledge of construction safety practices.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are being met on our job sites.

* Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

* Coach employees regarding PPE, tool safety, and safe working practices.

* Conduct safety related instruction during new hire orientation.

* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports.

* Prepare monthly reports for site accidents, motor vehicle accidents, site work hours, and mileage.

* Plan and host safety meetings and assist the Director of Training for the annual Safety Day.

* Stay updated on the latest safety laws and industry best practices to ensure our safety programs are current and effective.

* Other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role, ideally within the construction industry.

* A bachelor's degree in construction management may substitute for direct experience.

* OSHA 500 or the ability to obtain shortly after an employment offer.

* Able to travel within our Knoxville service area.
