Safety Manager - Palacios Marine and Industrial : Job Details

Job Summary:We are looking for a Safety Supervisor with experience in a large chemical facility to join our team. The Safety Supervisor will act as a liaison to ensure compatibility of safety processes between the client and the contractor. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations and be able to maintain a basic knowledge of these standards to ensure compliance on the job site.Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between the client and contractor to ensure compatibility of safety processes
• Work closely with the client and contractor to identify areas of improvement in safety processes
• Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety procedures and best practices
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards
• Investigate and report on safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives
• Maintain a basic knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations
• Stay up-to-date with changes to OSHA regulations and ensure compliance on the job site

RequirementsJob Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a large chemical facility
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations
• Ability to maintain a basic knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations and stay up-to-date with changes
• Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
