Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Telecommunications Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols and compliance within our telecommunications operations and enterprise-wide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, particularly in telecommunications infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety among our workforces.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures specific to telecommunications projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in telecommunications projects and enterprise-wide.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety protocols into project planning and execution phases.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes relevant to telecommunications operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and issues and communicate safety expectations clearly to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) as a Safety Manager or similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
- Ability to travel to various project sites as needed - travel will be 50-75% of the time.
