Safety Manager - Plumbing/Mechanical Installation (Direct Hire)

Location: Buffalo, NY

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Direct Hire (W2), Exempt

Schedule: Full-Time, 40-hour workweek

Compensation:

• Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 Annually (Dependent on Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for plumbing and mechanical installation activities on a confidential, high-profile project. This role involves implementing safety systems, conducting audits, and enforcing protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead comprehensive Job Safety Analyses (JSA), perform detailed safety audits, and proactively conduct site walks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other industry safety standards.
• Manage safety systems, processes, and procedures to maintain accident-free workplaces and consistent safety compliance.
• Develop and track key metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve safety program effectiveness.
• Deliver training on Fall Protection, Confined Space Safety, and other job-specific safety topics.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety standards are integrated into all phases of the project.
• Prepare and maintain detailed safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance records.

Qualifications:

Required:

• OSHA 510 Certification with a minimum of 4 years of safety experience, specifically in plumbing and mechanical installations.
• Proficiency in Fall Protection and Confined Space Safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard identification, and incident prevention strategies.

Preferred (Major Plus):

• CMI (Certified Mechanical Inspector) or NCPWI (National Certified Pipe Welding Inspector) certifications.

Skills:

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to engage with teams and enforce safety standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Analytical and solution-focused mindset to continuously improve safety programs.
