Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct Contractor Safety Audits: Regularly audit contractors for compliance with safety protocols.
- Issue Permits: Issue Core Permits, Electrical Authorizations, Hot Work Permits, and other necessary safety permits.
- Serve as Safety Lookout: Act as a safety lookout during live electrical panel work.
- Maintain Inspection Records: Keep detailed records for electrical safety gloves and arc flash suits.
- Conduct Regular Inspections: Inspect eye wash stations, GFCI outlets, shop jacks, and fire extinguishers.
- Record STOP Audits: Ensure STOP Audits are recorded and added to the company database.
- Upload CMV Hours: Manage and upload Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) hours to the company database.
- Assist with Lockout/Tagout Procedures: Help in writing and developing Lockout/Tagout Procedures (LOTOPs).
- Regulatory Compliance: Utilize subscription service website to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- SDS Documentation: Assist with the documentation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Contractor Communication: Ensure contractors have correct licensing and safety certifications.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct monthly inspections of pool vehicles.
- Facilitate Safety Meetings: Assist with the facilitation of FS&RE monthly safety meetings.
- Collaborate with EH&S Safety SMEs: Work closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Safety Subject Matter Experts for Personal Safety and Industrial Hygiene to implement Corteva Standards.
- Instructor Led EH&S Trainings: Assist in delivering instructor led EH&S trainings for FS&RE personnel.
Skills Needed:
- Computer Literate: Proficient in using computer systems and software.
- Safety Commitment: Strong desire to work safely and help others to work safely.
- Detail Oriented: Excellent attention to detail in safety processes and record-keeping.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage safety programs and inspections.
- Preferred Background: Experience in agriculture or a research center is a plus.
