DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this role, you will play a key part in coordinating, implementing, and upholding effective safety policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include monitoring compliance, delivering training, and conducting on-site evaluations for the Accident/Injury Prevention Program (AIPP). You will engage in the Accident Review Committee, investigate significant incidents, and ensure the development and execution of corrective action plans. Additionally, you will assist in formulating and implementing safety measures, address safety concerns, and routinely inspect sites for compliance, meticulously documenting all inspections, accidents, and injuries in safety databases while managing necessary documentation. Furthermore, you will serve as a subject matter expert in safety training, organize training programs tailored to needs, and conduct research to bolster safety initiatives. You will also design a safety training program for new hires and formulate emergency plans in accordance with departmental policies. Analyzing various data sources will be essential to recommend the implementation of safety management programs, summarize accident and injury trends, and propose prevention strategies and corrective actions to county and district management. Lastly, you will perform field visits and comprehensive management reviews of both office and field facilities to ensure adherence to safety standards, fire codes, and departmental protocols.
