Safety Specialist - Genesis10 : Job Details

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Safety Specialist resource for a 3-month Contract position.Compensation: $37.00/hrJob Responsibilities: Identify and inform management of compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of weekly and monthly auditsFacilitate investigation processMaintain required paperwork to comply with the client and regulationsEnter Information in internal database in a timely mannerPerform observations & auditsTrain and assist others (Area Managers, team members, etc.) to complete their responsibilities (Audits, Follow Rules, etc.)Perform specific training as required by the ManagerMay have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other related activities depending on the business unit and locationParticipate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completionRequired Qualifications: Minimum of 1 years in an Environmental & (EHS) related field or bachelor's degree in related fieldKnowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910Experience with Workers CompensationExperience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacityExperience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplaceAvailable to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekendsAbility to communicate and needs to all levels of the organizationCalm demeanor in situationsPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a related fieldExperience leading and managing a team Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential concerns and conduct job hazard and job analysesExperienced in response and currently holds and certificates Experience in Worker's case managementPassion for safetyExperience in healthcare or industrial settingsIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!About New Journey/Genesis10:New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is a leader in staffing, providing opportunities in light industrial, finance/accounting, financial services, human resources, data, administrative, autonomous vehicles, business operations, and legal, amongst others.
