**What You'll Be Doing**
**Job Scope:** Generally responsible for developing all aspects of company Health and Safety policy and procedure development and training as well as the management of all aspects of Health and Safety consulting projects. This work will be performed under minimal supervision in Port Arthur, TX
**Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:**
+ Supporting the Care Management Systems, including effective implementation of standardized OSIH processes, and participating in management system reviews.
+ Ensuring effective communication of new / modified internal and external OSIH requirements and leading implementation
+ Helping drive EHS improvements at a fast-paced manufacturing site and facilitating the development of safety programs, procedures, tools, and successfully demonstrated practices at the site.
+ Educating the workforce on new and changing OSIH requirements and concepts.
+ Navigating complex audit, compliance, and regulatory processes while managing competing priorities.
+ Collaborating and interfacing with business partners and functional teams where the ability to gain cooperation is critical.
**Ideal Background**
**Education:** Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field from an accredited university is required.
**Certifications:** Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is required.
**Experience:** Requires 5+ years of relevant industrial safety, risk management and/or industrial hygiene experience.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:**
+ Detailed knowledge of OSHA requirements.
+ Working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene compliance.
+ Having experience in leading and conducting safety related incident investigations and management of change reviews.
+ Possessing strategic thinking, results-oriented mindset and safety orientation.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong proficiency and skills in presenting information and teaching
+ Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
