Safety Specialist - Insight Global : Job Details

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in Heavy Civil Engineering (Bridges, Dams, Water Treatment Plants)
• CHST or OHST Certifications
• Respiratory Fit Testing
• First Aid/CPR/AED Training
• Ability to work a full 12-hour/7-day schedule for the first 4-6 weeks of the contract

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of college
• HAZWOPER 40hr

Job Description: One of Insight Global's top clients is looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Specialist to join their team to support the LA Fires cleanup mission. This crucial role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members as they work to restore and rebuild the affected areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Visits: Conduct daily visits to various cleanup sites across Los Angeles to monitor safety protocols and identify potential hazards.
• Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns, ensuring timely and thorough completion of incident reports.
• Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections and audits of worksites, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Support Project Management: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to develop and implement safety plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique challenges of the cleanup mission.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all team members, contractors, and stakeholders regarding safety-related issues and updates.

Compensation:

• $45/hr to $55/hr (Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education)
• Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
