JOB PURPOSEKnowledge Management (KM) Advisor serve to optimize capability and knowledge management among World Vision (WV) entities, enabling Global Programmes & Resources (GPR) and Disaster Management (DM) staff at all levels of the WV partnership and related teams to access up-to-date information regarding e- and blended course programmes across the organization for technical capacity investment, enabling staff to learn, grow, and deliver quality programming that impacts the most vulnerable children.The role supports the development and implementation of capability enhancement systems and manages the new wvcentral-hosted 1-Stop-Shop E-Learning Course Directory for the organisation. The role will also support teams in planning and implementing comprehensive capability-strengthening interventions, including intergroup connections with relevant Community of Practise (CoPs). In conjunction with the Global Knowledge Management team, the function will establish knowledge management systems and processes to ensure cross-prisoning learning and development and support world-class implementation of sector interventions.The position holder will also be expected to be responsible for coordinating strategic internal and external communications to share evidence of WV's impact with key stakeholders, liaising with communications teams to share evidence of WV's impact, and building WV's reputation as a global leader in the industry. Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish, and adjust knowledge management systems and processes for the global Humanitarian & Development Capacity & Capabilities Department (HDCC)
  • Manage the new 1-stop-shop E-Learning Directory for the organisation on wvcentral; including an update of course references, hyperlinks, help /Q&A functions for the site in close coordination with other wvcentral site managers and CoP focal points for global programmes & resources (GPR) and disaster management (DM) and other relevant stakeholders
  • Collate, review, consolidate best practices, lessons learned, organize and co-facilitate cross-Community of Practise (CoP) learning events, webinars, and relevant documentation, dissemination
  • Coordinate, and consolidate communication products, e.g. Humanitarian and Development Capacity and Capabilities (HDCC) newsletter, cross-Community of Practise (CoP) announcements, course description updates, mailing lists, etc.
  • Provide support to manage e-workshop course calendar updates in close collaboration with course owners, field office (FO), and learners as relevant; Create and review KPIs for adoption, usage of premier (high-value, frequently used) KM content, and summarize benefits, outcomes, and improvement opportunities for the organization
  • Manage all e-workshop billing, cost-charge/ recovery administrative processes in close coordination with Finance, field office (FO), and related focal points
Knowledge/Skill and Education Required for the Role:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Humanitarian Assistance, or any related field. Master's level is desirable,
  • Knowledge Management training/certification / and or experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant Knowledge Management (KM) experience with increasing responsibility and scope of role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a role that required clear, high-quality communications content (not necessarily a formal Communications role).
  • At least 3 years of experience working across different sectors or departments or offices in a multicultural and remote team. a plus if it's within World Vision.
  • Systems thinker; the ability to understand the implications of change across multiple dimensions according to organizational development concepts.

Required Language(s), Required travel and/or work environment accommodations:
  • English is required, and fluent Spanish or French is highly desirable.
  • The position may require the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
Compensation: (16) For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $ 70,755 to $ 88,444 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity, and budget.
