Sales Coordinator Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Coordinator is responsible to provide assistance for the Sales Manager/Director of Sales in a wide variety of complex office duties and maintaining day to day activities to ensure that Sales can meet the sales goals in accordance with brand standards and hotel procedures. The following reflects the essential job duties but does not restrict tasks that may be assigned. Duties of this job may be changed at management's discretion.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Analyze local market trends and develop new business leads.• Conduct hotel inspections and site tours.• Assist as needed with hotel and sales-related functions, parties, and blitzes.• Monitor local competitor activity and identify potential business opportunities.• Oversee and create social networking sites: Linked-In, Facebook, etc.• Prepare and send out direct mail projects, sales packets, and collateral.• Effectively communicate and coordinate the guest's request with other departments.• Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails.• Responsible for managing all meeting room reservations and coordinating details with other departments including group agreements and set-up of meeting room: assisting with catering events.• Coordinate and ensure the delivery of requested equipment and/or food for meeting rooms and special events.• Create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and route event orders to the proper departments.• Maintain and actively use hotel sales and brand systems.• Group block loading, management of groups, and group resumes.• Report appointments, calls made, and business leads weekly/monthly.• Produce weekly productivity reports and monthly group status reports.• Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner.• Attend and participate in all mandatory training and sales events when required.• Maintain effective performance under pressure.• Move, lift, carry and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs. without assistance and more than 25 lbs. with assistance.• May perform similar duties as requested by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:• 2 years' experience working in the hospitality industry.• Excellent customer service skills.• Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.• Must have working knowledge of hotel brand systems.• This position is onsite. Remote work is not an option.
