Who are we?

Water – the most vital resource on earth. Demand for clean drinking water has never been greater and is ever increasing worldwide. e-sens is an emerging high tech company, founded by the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Utah, that has developed a sophisticated, yet simple to use, water quality testing instrument using silicon sensors to test drinking water. The initial product that we are introducing to the market is ROAM, a handheld, state of the art instrument. The foundational technology will enable the launch of many variations of these state-of-the-art sensors to be deployed for a comprehensive line of water quality testing instruments to be used in the laboratory and in the field.

Who are we looking for?

A strong candidate with successful sales, and preferred sales management, experience for a period of 3 to 5 years. Candidates with experience in selling technical products or solutions will be given preference.A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry or a different college degree accompanied with a successful record of selling technical products will be considered.

What is the job description?

The market for our products in the U.S. is huge. The worldwide market is vast! These markets include municipal water systems, food and beverage manufacturers and environmental organizations to name just a few. Our go-to-market strategy includes a direct sales force and a sales channels component. The channel partners will include chemical distributors, manufacturers' reps focused on the water sector, and general laboratory suppliers. Given the market size and valuable partners, the position will require keen organizational skills and an ability to prioritize resources.

Recruiting sales professionals for our direct sales force and channel partners, product and sales training, goal setting, implementing a CRM system for marketing analytics/campaigns, managing sales performance and sales goal attainment, managing targeted marketing campaigns, developing strategic partner relationships will be necessary as we establish the company as a market leader. Developing a direct to consumer-driven campaign and opening up both National and International sales channels will also be required.

  • Develop on-boarding plan for new sales hires
  • Own and manage Salesforce.com processes, functionality, and KPIs
  • Facilitate and devise sales team performance assessments on a quarterly basis and develop a road map for improvements
  • Streamline RFP and other proposal generation processes and fully align with Salesforce.com
  • Develop standard sales presentations for various stages of the sales cycle
  • Ability to travel

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be comprised of salary and incentive pay components. Incentive pay is designed to reward high performance. Total compensation will be commensurate with experience. Benefits are industry competitive.
