Our client is one of North America's largest dealers of industrial equipment, who offers materials handling solutions that utilize a host of equipment options: forklifts, terminal tractors, telescoping booms, scissor lifts and railcar movers. In addition, they also offer industrial and construction equipment and rental solutions, including aerial work platforms, sweepers, scrubbers, and earth-moving equipment for your project needs.They are in search of military candidates who can lead a sales team. Each candidate will need to be able to own a room/conversation, be confident, charismatic, and detailed oriented. You will control a sales territory with around 8 -10 direct reports that will be a mix of junior level sales members and support staff. The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the Sales Department within a market or branch and is responsible for the daily activity of all Sales Representatives to achieve the market or branch sales expectations, profit before tax expectations as well as ensuring the retention of existing customers, while adding new customers. You will ensure all client's standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.Principal responsibilities and duties:- Achieve company objectives for sales and profit performance, to include driving top line sales, market share and bottom-line profit - Provide leadership and talent engagement for each Sales Representative in the market or branch to ensure a positive customer experience, to include building and maintaining customer relationships- Monitor, manage, and supervise Sales Representatives to include responsibility for selection, hiring, development, training, performance management and new hire procedures- Ensure execution on monthly expectations and standards, strategies, and action items, to include use of the Customer Relationship Management tool, execution of sales opportunities and safety procedures - Manage payroll, productivity and staffing in the region or branch against established performance expectations and objectives- Lead bench strength planning to achieve and maintain sales growth requirements- Ensure execution of all people-related initiatives such as, training, compensation approvals and fostering positive morale- Ensure execution of the performance management process for all Sales Representatives in the market or branch, to include recognition and disciplinary procedures, up to and including termination of employment- Manage and coordinate all requests received from other branches, Office Support Group or Shared Services GroupCompetitive salary with annual bonus, full benefits package, and an ESOP plan.
