Job Title: Sales Manager, Women's & Men's Shoes Wholesale JOB PURPOSE: The Sales Manager will be responsible for all facets of the Wholesale business, spanning from sales campaigns in the showrooms, to operational activities (budgets, order entry, shipping, RTV log) working cross functionally with different departments (Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Retail Training). This position is based in New York and reports into the Senior Director of Wholesale and Leased Partnership. Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Oversee Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and specialty stores wholesale shoe business.
  • Supports the Head of Wholesale in all facets of the shoe wholesale business, including projects, key initiatives, and presentations to ensure budget is delivered.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Business Unit, Business Performance, Visual Merchandising, Shipping, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Training, Accounting and Accounts Payable and Receivable) to ensure successful markets (4 Men's / 4 Women's = 8 times per year in Paris), and managing the department smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.
  • Ensure effective cost control procedures are rolled out and communicated for all operating, maintenance and travel.
  • Manage the RTV budget and follow returns monthly with support of Trainee.
  • Lead sales team in promoting a client-focused approach to exceed company standards.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan in partnership with Head of Wholesale across Men's and Women's on annual sales volume and seasonal sell thru targets to ensure healthy and successful business; remove underproductive stores.
  • Own objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of trainee.
  • Create and manage weekly and seasonal reporting with support of trainee.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by collaborating with multiband partners and understanding their business needs.

  • Present weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance by account and category, to top management on routine basis.
  • Identify emerging markets and or market shifts while being fully aware of products and competition status.
  • Drive change when appropriate.
  • Partner with Training Department to deliver seasonal collections trainings across department stores per category, online or in person.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising team on ensuring Dior image standards are upheld in store.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Buying / wholesale experience, strong business sense and industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
    • Ability to demonstrate patience and to Convey positive can-do attitude towards tackling problems.
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial team and to work collaboratively with external and internal Corporate and Retail partners
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in luxury Wholesale. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, with extreme precision and accuracy.
  • Relevant college degree, with strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively to deliver timely and impact results.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.)
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to interface and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Extensive travel required: 8 times per year to Paris for market, in addition to domestic travel to key accounts (~70% of time expected to be travel)
  • Committed to continuous improvement of the business.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.

  • Ability to seek feedback and seek other points-of-view while maintaining confident direction.
},{ title : Additional information , content : The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $90,000 - $120,000 per hour/annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
