Your next role as a Miracle Maker

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Boston, MA Sales team as a Sales Representative. As a Sales Representative you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the academic sector as well as other biotechs in and around the New England area, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with R&D professionals within academic institutions and smaller biotechs. You will leverage your expertise in mRNA research and your sales acumen to provide solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

How you will make an impact:

  • Sales strategy and execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to drive new customer acquisition and product adoption while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Customer relationship management: Be an extension of the Maravai and TriLink brand by building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers that align with research and development objectives.
  • Product and scientific knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our product portfolio including reagents and services that support making mRNA. Effectively communicate product features, benefits and applications to customers.
  • Conduct presentations that demonstrate our offering and value to specific customer applications.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies. Utilize this knowledge to develop and adapt sales strategies.
  • Track sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline in SFDC and use dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to provide reports and forecasts that demonstrate progression to goals.
  • Work closely with Senior Business Development Manager and Director as well as marketing, product development, and customer support teams.

The skills and experience that you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development within the life sciences or academic research sector. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of life sciences products and research methodologies, with a focus on mRNA and enzymes.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with researchers and institutions.
    • Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a proactive approach to sales.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $116,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation, and company-sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
