Position Description This position is responsible for promoting the use of masonry and hardscape materials used in building and landscape design. Primary clients include architects, engineers, government officials, and developers. The position requires coordinating planned presentations, increasing market opportunities for masonry design and products, initiating contact and follow-up visits with architects, building owners, developers, and general contractors, while also responsible for participating in industry trade associations. Activities include identifying and following-up on leads, providing technical assistance to industry professionals in support of developing masonry projects, as well as the commercial sales team, and distributing both literature and material samples. KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related program is a preferred. A minimum 2 years previous sales experience in construction/building materials products required. Knowledge of commercial construction, design, and codes is required. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in a commercial construction environment. Sales or technical presentation experience with architects, engineers or developers is preferred. Appropriate skills reading plans and specifications are critical. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, as well as demonstrated work experience in successfully using OSC & CRM software programs is required. Previous work experience must emphasize a high level of customer service and excellent interpersonal skills with customers and co-workers.
