Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Life Sales team as a Sales Support Specialist!About the roleAs a Sales Support Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the sales activities of our associate and external Individual Life Insurance sales team. In addition, you will correspond with advisors and wholesalers regarding Symetra's products and marketing programs. The Sales Support Specialist will have flexible hours, a flat management structure providing regular exposure to Senior Management, and a strong promote-from-within philosophy.What you will do
  • Answer the 800# for the Sales Desk where financial advisors and their office call for a number of reasons including but not limited to: product information, information on rates that are associated with our products, illustration requests and service issues
  • Educate clients with thought leadership offered by Symetra. This comes by way of conference calls, direct phone calls and Teams meetings. While not product specific per se, this offering strengthens Symetra's value proposition to financial advisors and their distributors.
  • Partner with sales team and internal partnerships to drive territory sales through assisting with product inquiries, product illustrations, updates on pending applications, and fulfilling orders for marketing material and sales literature.
  • Calling campaign assistancelaunch new products, identifying new sales opportunities.

  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Life and Health license required within the first 3 months of employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical/computer skills.
  • Demonstrated success in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls as well as receiving inbound calls.
  • Relevant customer service experience, with an aptitude for sales.
  • Desire to progress into a more advanced sales role.
  • Previous life sales experience preferred.
